Almost nothing in this collection is a stone. A red string bracelet is cord, a knot, and at most one small bead — and the knot is doing the work, not the bead.
The knots

Vajra knot — the Tibetan form, tied so the cord doubles back through itself. It appears here on its own, on a clasp, and paired with a flat knot.

Flat knot — the simple woven form, used alongside the vajra knot rather than instead of it.

Five-color braid — the cord itself is made from five strands, so the color is in the structure rather than in a dye.

Peace ring — the cord woven around a ring, so the piece has a shape rather than a length.
Why cord
Cord is the lightest thing you can wear, and the only material here that never needs to come off. It does not scratch, it weighs nothing, and it disappears under a sleeve — which is the whole point for anyone who wants a piece for themselves rather than for people looking at it.
Several strands carry a jade peace buckle, a cinnabar charm, or a silver pixiu at the join. That is the only ornament the form takes.
