Four-step guide to measuring your wrist with a soft measuring tape for a beaded bracelet

How to Measure Your Wrist

  1. 1 Wrap a soft tape or a strip of paper around your wrist, just below the wrist bone.
  2. 2 Mark the overlap. Keep it snug, not tight — one finger should fit underneath.
  3. 3 Lay the strip flat and measure it with a ruler. That is your wrist circumference.
  4. 4 Match it to the chart above. For a looser fit, add 0.2" – 0.4" (0.5 – 1 cm).
No Measuring Tape?

Wrap a piece of string or paper instead, mark the overlap, then measure it against a ruler.

Bead Size Reference

Bead diameter changes how a bracelet looks and sits, not its inner circumference.

The same wrist wearing four beaded bracelets with bead sizes from 0.24 to 0.47 inch
Bead Size Best For Look & Feel
0.16" (4 mm) Slim wrists / delicate stacking Fine, subtle
0.24" (6 mm) Most wrists / everyday wear Delicate, elegant
0.31" (8 mm) Most wrists / everyday wear Balanced, classic
0.39" (10 mm) Medium to large wrists Bold, noticeable
0.47" (12 mm) Large wrists / statement pieces Chunky, powerful
0.55" (14 mm) and up Statement and ceremonial pieces Extra bold, ceremonial

Larger beads sit further from the wrist. When in doubt, size up.

Ring Size Guide

Ring sizes are listed as finger circumference, in inches with millimetres in brackets.

Measuring the base of a finger with a soft tape, beside five ring bands increasing in diameter
Our Size Finger Circumference Inner Diameter
54 2.13" (54 mm) 0.68" (17.2 mm)
56 2.20" (56 mm) 0.70" (17.8 mm)
58 2.28" (58 mm) 0.73" (18.5 mm)
60 2.36" (60 mm) 0.75" (19.1 mm)
62 2.44" (62 mm) 0.78" (19.7 mm)
  • Measure at the end of the day, when your finger is at its largest — not when your hands are cold.
  • Wider knuckle? Measure at the knuckle, so the ring still slides over it.
  • Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
  • For the most accurate result, ask a local jeweler.

All measurements are approximate — natural stone and wood beads vary slightly, and handmade pieces may differ by a few millimetres.
