The pieces in this shop are grouped by what they are made of, and also by what they are worn for. This collection holds the second kind — everything that carries an intention rather than only a material: protection, peace, wealth, courage, affection, and healing.
Why the same stone appears twice
An intention is not a material, which is why amethyst turns up in calm and in affection, obsidian in protection and in gathering, citrine in wealth and in courage. The stone supplies the color and the weight. The intention is carried by the shape it is strung with — a pixiu, a knot, a ghau, a coin.
That is also why these are separated into six rather than left in one list. If you know which intention you are shopping for, you should not have to sort through three hundred pieces to find it.
The six
-
Protection blessings — ghau boxes, cord and knots, and the stones worn to turn things aside.
-
Peace blessings — blue, white, and grey stones, wood malas, and mantra pieces.
-
Wealth blessings — pixiu, coin charms, gourds, and fortune bags.
-
Success blessings — citrine, tiger's eye, and yellow agate, for courage and forward motion.
-
Love blessings — dragon and phoenix pairs, peach blossom, and the pinks.
-
Healing blessings — chakra strands and the multi-stone sets.
Choosing
Start from the intention, not the stone. Once you know which heading you want, the material narrows itself — each of the six is built around a different group of stones, and the groups overlap less than they first look.
